2012 in review — Blog stats courtesy of the WordPress Stats Helper Monkeys ;)

“The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.” So are the WordPress.com stats helper monkeys any relation to the Rally Monkey? I’d sure like to think so. 😉 I mean both lead to such random fun. Anyway, these annual reports and the blog stats in general are pretty cool benefits from the MLBlogs switch to WordPress, and I was having fun reading everyone else’s Annual Report, so I figured I’d share mine.

Many, many thanks to everyone who has dropped by my goofy little blog this year and even more thanks to those who have taken the time to comment and chat.  I wish you all, all the best in 2013. Happy New Year!!

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 23,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 5 Film Festivals

I love these things. I mean the triviality at the end of the day to them is through the roof, but their just so darn intriguing. Anyway, I would like to thank you for the blog follow. I was going to return the favor, but then I realized I already was following you. Not that I forgot. So I also remembered that I haven’t left a comment here in a while. Not that I wouldn’t have left one if you didn’t subscribe. Oh, and if you’re wondering about he lack of the parentheses/parenthetical punctuation, see my comment on Emma’s blog.

Ah, but what are baseball fans, Mateo, if not lovers of trivia? So you and I and all the rest come by our amusement with these Annual Reports quite honestly. 🙂 You’re welcome. I find your blog very enjoyable. Happy New Year!

A toast Kristen for a very good 2013! Well done here! Always enjoy reading your posts here about your Angels and this great game of ours. Wonder what is your choice of wine or champagne to to toast 2013. Cheers!

Thank you Emma! A toast to you as well. I’m definitely a champagne on New Year’s Eve fan. This year we’re fancy. When Seth has a good sales year, it’s my tradition to surprise him with a bottle of Dom for us to ring in the New Year with. The economy being what it was/is, these lips haven’t tasted Dom in many a year. But he was blessed with excellent sales this year, so I have a little bottle of luxury chilling in the fridge. For a less extravagant toast – and, indeed for our *cough, cough* second bottle this evening (no worries, we’re staying in) – I like Mumm Napa champagne. It’s a nice bottle that won’t break the bank and it is delicious. I like to make a old fashioned kind of cocktail with the Mumm and put a sugar cube in the empty flute, top the cube with two drops of orange bitters and then with the Mumm. It’s delicious! For champagnes out of Central California (because I know you hit Paso Robles and SLO sometimes too), I like pretty much everything Leticia does and Opolo makes a great champagne as well. Have a happy New Year!
